One of the great benefits of living in Southern California is that you are only 2 hours from the mountains, 2 hours from the shore (more or less). Sometimes, however, the snow comes to us! Or at least comes close enough for us to "Oooo!" and "Ahhh!" as we drive about town, and to really make it begin to look a lot like Christmas.
This view to the West:
And this to the North:
The beauty with benefits--it's balmy outside!
And, no, Officer. As you can see, I was NOT speeding.
For some, who work farther north in the "High Desert", though, there was a lot more snow and a lot of road closures. Our friend, Mrs. T., got stranded at work to the delight of her son, N, and J-Boy. An impromptu sleep-over in the middle of the week? Awesome!
We even got to bed at a decent hour and made it to school on time the next morning! Just in time to get ready for Winter Break. Joy to the world!
