"Things happen for a reason." "Count your blessings." "Look at the bright side."
If J-Boy didn't have Autism, didn't need to be in a very specific Special Day Class, could handle riding a school bus across town every morning, then we NEVER would have encountered the simple joy of surprise and anticipation this little drive by brings. Thanks, J-Boy!!
My plan had been to do an exposé at the end of the year, but it started to seem really selfish. The suspense, the bated breath, as we round the bend on approach to J's school--how could I deprive you, Reader, of this same giddy feeling of unexpected awesomeness?? Yes, the right thing to do is to catch you up to current, then post each inspired installment as they are revealed to the public.
And so... I give you......Mmmmannequin Mmmmmadness!!!!!
January 2009
(New Year's Resolution to Love Cats More? or is it a Declaration?) Hmm. I have some things I could declare about this...
We've never seen any of the other occupants of this house, but we look for "her" daily. What do you think she'll be wearing? Well, what holiday is coming up? It's like a box of Cracker Jacks: you know the prize is in there, but it is still a big deal to see what you get!
February 2009 - Valentine's Day
February 2009 - Mardi Gras
March 2009
This one perplexed us, because we were all thinking "St. Patrick's Day" once March 1st rolled around. She's like that, crafty and beguiling. You can't put your guard down and think you know her.
Is it for Spring?
March 2009 - St. Patty's Day
There's that green we were looking for!
And there you have it! Consider yourself caught up!
Do you have any random things you look forward to seeing on the daily loops you drive? When I was commuting, a runner, a dog walker, and I would converge on the same point at the same time, day in and day out. Every day. On the rare occassion one or the other wasn't there I always pondered the reasons why. When I quit that daily grind, I wondered if they ever questioned what happened to me. Probably not.
Well, keep your eyes peeled for the next episode of...
Mmmmannequin Mmmmmadness!!!!!
That is incredible!!!
Thanks for sharing that.

Very interesting...Doesn't it just make you wonder about the creativity of the person who dresses that Mannequin? Maybe the person is mad...or maybe just very creative & enjoys making people wonder--maybe driving us mad with curiosity?
But did you notice the healthy beautiful pansies? Someone who puts in the time and effort to grow flowers like that...hmm,
I wonder...is the Mannequin there just to call attention to the flowers? Keep us posted. I wonder what will replace the pansies when their season is over....

I think my comment got eaten. I left one days ago. Or, you deleted it because you don't want people to know that I read your blog? I'm going with that one. lol!
This is definitely one of those downtown things eh? I can only imagine the old lady that lives there and her lack of friends. Wait...hey! That's my house! You weren't lying when you said you've been peeking in my windows again!
